IT Asset Recovery

At APIM, we recover all end of line computer and computing related electrical products. These are recovered from ex-lease items, surplus IT and redundant equipment.

Reduce, Refurbish, Reuse, Recycle are key to APIM UKs operations as these are key environmentally conscious words.

While adopting the 4R process, APIM provides both hardware and software audit consultancy service for all our clients. This includes the cataloguing all applications on the equipment collected as well as providing a certificate of asset recovery to cover environmental disposal of equipment.

Based on the type of item, our component parts are fully stripped and send off for recycling. These items are what APIM terms as disposals items.

Our primary objective is to do as much as we possibly
can for the environment hence the 4R principle

  • Reduce - your carbon foot print by ensuring that everything you have are recyclable or reusable. This is regardless of your location worldwide hence our build up of relationship in all regions of the world.
  • Refurbish - APIM UK is dedicated to refurbishing all electrical assets to as much working condition as possible.
  • Reuse - The prevention of e-waste drives APIM UK to ensuring that all electrical equipment are restored and reused for as long as they are economically viable.
  • Recycle - Many IT recycling companies send their components to either landfill sites or sending them to third world countries. All APIM UK processes are well documented and provide a standard for the new world order to emulate.

Data in the wrong hands could mean a lot of reputational damage to your company as well as fraud coupled with a hefty fine from your regulatory body hence the service offered by APIM UK to provide a comprehensive data erasing solution. On all assets collected, APIM UK ensures that data is erased from all drives using methods that make certain that these are wiped beyond forensic recovery. With added flexibility companies that have policies requesting that no Data leaves site can be offered Data destruction service on its premises. This will ensure that no data leave the premises of the establishment.
